Hello world!
Margaret Kilgallen was great how she rode around on her bike and took pictures of what she liked. It is something I would do, just because it is the only way I might remember it. I thought it was funny when someone approached her because she was taking a picture of their storefront. It is funny how she refrences art by hand as folklore, as if it doesn’t exist anymore. I guess the tide has turned in our digital world. I also think that the hand made has a personal beauty all its own. I liked how they were drawing and writing on trains, and its true, it looks as if it is folklore, like it is something that was done long ago.
Barry McGee mentioned that reading what someone has written on a train, at different periods of time, is like learning about someone you don’t know. Isn’t it like that on the internet? I really like the collage he did of found art. I wonder what he meant by “skinning the wall.”
